The reasons to increase the price is
1) GST:-
In India, the GST is the tax which ranges from 12 -24 % according to the category of product and also the transportation taxes .some company not made the mobile in India or any other countries, they assemble only .theany part of mobile made by any small industry and just main company just assemble it .so that the taxes are on each item for that they import from many countries.
As the process of mobile is taking from MediaTek or Qualcomm Snapdragon. Depending on requirements and the sensor-making industries are the Sony and Samsung which make great mobile sensor .which where all mobile company is used.
The main part of the battery is taking from many other countries but not made in India.
So the conclusion of this, why mobile are costly in India and why the prices in each country are different.
Also in China, mobile is the very chipset.
2) a pandemic:-
Due to pandemic where all industry is closed so the payment of the worker is on hold. So the company won't pay their salary so that they increase prices of the product. The made-in-India company also increase the price because of increased import duty on this.
The company always thinks about profit so that they increase the prices.
3) increase prices of components:-
The price of the components is decided by the manufacturer of that components.
Eg :
The price of camera sensors of Sony and Samsung are different because of the manufacturing process and also countries taxes.
Also, the different megapixel has different prices
4)the import duty
The government of that country, where the assembled industry is present. The import duty is so high for electronic items where this is also part of taxes. The Indian govt announced that the start many plats to developed the chip, motherboard, cover, display ,
5) brand value:-
The price of the Samsung mobile and realme or mi mobile having huge difference .so that the many things decided the price so this is so important.
Flagship price :- Samsung,OnePlus,apple
Mid-range :-mi ,Redmi ,realme , Micromax
The apple is an eg of brand value because the base variant of apple price is 50+ k .that the people bu but also same features device of Redmi or realme device price is very small as compared to brand value.
Conclusion:
All of the above increase the price of mobile. The mobile price actually was so small for the buyer but taxes and other stuff were so that the electronic price get increase also pandemic is the main reason.
Also, the brand value is most likely to increase the prices according to me. Also, govt should start many industries so the import duty was decreased which will impact the price of electronics.
